Mini PC Launch
Geekom already has numerous mini PCs in its lineup, some of which we have already tested. With the Geekom XT1 Mega, the company has now introduced another device that has recently become available in two different model variants.
The top version is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and retails for $989, while the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H-equipped configuration costs $769 on Amazon. Both SKUs are already discounted by $80 and $50, respectively. Shoppers should manually apply the coupon code offered on the corresponding product page.
In either case, the Geekom XT1 Mega should be suitable for more demanding use cases and applications. These chipsets might not be brand-new, but both have an NPU that comes in handy for AI applications. The Geekom mini PC is further equipped with 32GB DDR5 memory and an NVMe SSD with 1TB or 2TB of storage capacity.
The XT1 Mega further offers two RAM slots to support a total of 64GB DDR5 RAM with a clock speed of 5,600 MHz. A second SSD can be installed in an M.2 2242 slot, which is not connected via PCIe but the slower SATA interface. Moreover, the Geekom XT1 Mega is supposed to feature an efficient cooling system, while the chassis is apparently able to survive drops from a desk.
On the front, this new mini PC has four USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports and a 3.5mm jack for headphones or speakers. On the back there are two HDMI 2.0 and two USB 4.0 ports, the latter supports image output and USB PD 3.0 with up to 15 watts. Last but not least, its two Ethernet ports can transmit data at up to 2.5 GBit/s. WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 are supported as well
